I was the first one in my family to attend college, and I moved from a small rural town of 300 people to downtown Portland (PSU). ......So I started attending a NCM Bible study during the week at PSU, I went to the Friday night fellowships, went to a NCM weekend retreat, and one night I told my roommate - I'm ready to pray and accept Christ as my Savior. .....The Bible learning and mission experiences through NCM have prepared me to be a better business professional in my job, and a ministry leader/speaker today.

NCM was a place as a new person to Oregon at Clackamas Community College where I could meet people who believed as I did. It was also a place where I met the woman who is now my wife she was also involved in NCM. I learned a lot and grew a ton, some friendships have lasted and I am better person for being involved in NCM. It was the place where the pieces fit together.

BSM  through the years - I have so many memories of the ministry lessons and great experiences that I hold of my years in the Baptist Student Ministries while I was in school at Clackamas Community College, and then at Pacific Lutheran University. I remember the patience of Ken Harmon in equipping me to be prepared to lead on-campus Bible studies at CCC. I can remember the times with him at Seminary in Portland playing ping-pong with his classmates, echoing forward to the time I attended seminary at GGBTS Vancouver. I recall the times that Ken came by my house in Oregon City to wake me up on a Saturday morning to go golfing and to share a part of himself, and then end up at his house with Dondi and so many others from BSM to share a meal and plan our next event, worship and pray together, and share fellowship. BSM, and Ken and Dondi Harmon, literally saved my life. God came in the form of Ken and Dondi as campus ministers to help turn my life away from chemicals and self-serving, to seeking opportunity to serve others, and to share the gospel with classmates and friends. Ken and Dondi showed me a path through college via BSM that set the course of my life on Jesus Christ, and His saving grace. I am so grateful to Ken and Dondi, and to BSM.
