Who We Are
The NW Collegiate Ministry is a faith-based student organization at Oregon State University. Our purpose as NCM is characterized by a desire to connect Oregon State students with God, their peers, and the world around them. This leads us to host a variety of weekly and special events.
-
Small Groups - A great place to find a community and explore faith through looking at the Bible and how it may pertain to your life.
-
Mentorship - Meet one-on-one or in small, focused groups in order to dig deeper into the questions of life and receive accountability for personal growth.
-
Missions and Service - Serve our campus, community, and the world around us through opportunities ranging from cleaning up a local park to spending months in a different country.
-
Gatherings - Take a break from the stresses of life and make some friends as we host periodic game nights, study sessions, hiking excursions, movie nights, and other fun events.
We desire to be welcoming to all individuals wherever you may stand with faith. Whether you are seeking answers, completely uninterested or simply want to grow, there is a place for you in the Northwest Collegiate Ministry! Even though we are new to the Beaver Nation we are excited about the possibility of growth in the days ahead! Go Beavs!

Our Beliefs
The Northwest Collegiate Ministries, as a whole, follows the Baptist faith and message. As an extension of the Northwest Collegiate Ministries we too believe these things to be true. You do not have to be Baptist to participate in any of the gatherings that Oregon State NCM offers. To learn more about the Baptist faith and message click
Salvation
We believe that salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.
We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace and received through faith in Jesus Christ whose blood was shed on the cross at Calvary for the forgiveness of our sins. (Ephesians 2:8) Through the death and resurrection of Jesus we can be set free from sin and death.
Sin
We believe that sin is failing to live up to the standard of life presented by God in the Bible whether in action or in the motive of the heart. Because of sin no one can enter the kingdom of God unless born again; that salvation is only by grace through faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ. And that all who receive Him through faith are declared righteous by God and become children of God.
The Bible
We believe that all 66 books of scripture were written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, are void of error in their original manuscripts and are to be viewed as the supreme authority in all matters of faith and our everyday lives. (2 Timothy 3:16).
Baptism
We believe in baptism as an ordinance of the church for every believer after they have come to repentance and faith in Jesus. They are immersed in water in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Baptism is a public confession that they have been saved by Jesus and a demonstration that their old, sinful life has been buried with Christ.
Church
We believe that the Church is not just a building but is made up of all those who have been saved by Jesus throughout the generations and have become genuine followers of Jesus Christ. The church exists to worship and glorify God. NCM is not a local church but seeks to connect the students at Oregon State to a local church body.
