About

NW Collegiate Ministries

What is NW Collegiate Ministries?

Northwest Collegiate Ministries exists to provide an opportunity for all students, both Christian and non-Christian, on every campus to experience Christ’s love and forgiveness during a time when they are making decisions that will set the path for their lives.

As a campus organization, church-based ministry, or collegiate church-plant, we strive to help students discover what it’s like to have a meaningful relationship with Christ through local church involvement, evangelism, discipleship, missions, leadership, and small group discussions.

It is our hope that every student has an environment in which they can ask questions and discover what it means to be a follower of Jesus.

Salvation

We believe that salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.

We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace and received through faith in Jesus Christ whose blood was shed on the cross at Calvary for the forgiveness of our sins. (Ephesians 2:8) Through the death and resurrection of Jesus we can be set free from sin and death.

Baptism

We believe in baptism as an ordinance of the church for every believer after they have come to repentance and faith in Jesus. They are immersed in water in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Baptism is a public confession that they have been saved by Jesus and a demonstration that their old, sinful life has been buried with Christ.

Sin

We believe that sin is failing to live up to the standard of life presented by God in the Bible whether in action or in the motive of the heart. Because of sin no one can enter the kingdom of God unless born again; that salvation is only by grace through faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ. And that all who receive Him through faith are declared righteous by God and become children of God.

Church

We believe that the Church is not just a building but is made up of all those who have been saved by Jesus throughout the generations and have become genuine followers of Jesus Christ. The church exists to worship and glorify God. NCM is not a local church but seeks to connect students from their campuses to a local church body.

The Bible

We believe that all 66 books of scripture were written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, are void of error in their original manuscripts and are to be viewed as the supreme authority in all matters of faith and our everyday lives. (2 Timothy 3:16).

Missions

We believe It is the duty and priviledge of every believer who has put their faith in Jesus Christ to make disciples of all nations. Because this is the duty of all believers we see it as a joy to train up and send college students to their campuses, families, communities, the US, and to the many nations beyond that have never heard about the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
